I see DHRofgo have a very nice Hawk for sale.  Not cheap but obviously well worth it.  Can't imagine who built it...

I see they've also got the grey Daytona that was hooning around as a slightly over-the-top course car at the 77th MM.

They're establishing a reputation as the go-to for accurate reps.  When you think about it, £74,995 might initially appear to be a little punchy in today's market, but then again, what else are you going to get for that sort of money that will be so much fun to drive and soooo good looking? Good luck to them, I say!

How on earth did that Daytona get HTP/FIA papers? 😳

As I understand it, the Historic Technical Passport has nothing to do with the history of the vehicle or its provenance.  It's simply a certification verifying that the car complies with the technical specification of cars that were homologated to race in period.  I may be wrong, though.

I've thought of getting my car a HTP, but as it's not a racing car, there doesn't seem much point.  I might yet get around to it, though, it doesn't hurt the value.

I think that if the HTP did take provenance into account, Goodwood Cobras would be a good bit thinner on the ground... although as we all know his Lordship doesn't allow replicas to race there.

I understand what the FIA/HTPis, but that car has so many things that aren’t historically correct, which is why I asked the question.

I'm sure you're right - I don't know enough about Daytonas to comment.  It has transverse leafsprings and a 289 but I don't know the full spec, or how rigid the criteria are.

I can, however, confirm that the Triumph Herald bits are correct.
