Hi All,
Entered the revived Firle Hill Climb last Sunday organised by Rob Bryant of the Bo Peep Drivers Club. All done in aid of The Chailey Heritage Foundation for disabled children, a worthy cause.
A great day out, an eclectic range of cars from 1092's onwards, good food, music, & four runs up the hill ! The only problem was the dust in the farm paddock !
Well worth a visit. A couple of pics including a rarity:- the Stovebolt Special, once used by Stirling Moss as the HWM works car with an Alta engine, then used in film, then raced with a Chevy small block, now back in the UK.
Bye for now, Roger
Well done Roger. How did your times compare with other’s on the day? 👍

Good for you Roger 😀 Hope you had more success than I did racing the Fiesta on the Silverstone International circuit. Left rear wheel bearing seized coming out of Stowe at 60+ mph but lots of run off so no damage apart from the bearing and a shredded tyre!
FYI the Stovebolt Special belongs to well known classic muttering rotter Simon Taylor, who also owns a 2.6 Ace.
