Hi Jake,

A big welcome on board from all the Register.

We look forward to hearing all about your car and as Dave says; there will be good advice, as and when you need it from the membership as there are one or two who have made from the switch from RV8 to SBF; Dave Woodward especially.

Hi Jake,

Welcome to The Cobra Register.

As Lee has already said, there will be plenty of good advice when you need it and one of our members, Dave Woodward did the same conversion a couple of years ago. However, be prepared for a sizeable bill, swapping the engine, gearbox and rear end isnt going to be cheap. Depending on how much of the work you can do yourself, you could be looking at the thick-end of £20k. One the plus side, Dave W. has been very happy with the end result.

Hi Jake,

I think Lee Marshall is planning to take his Cobra over to Dave Brookes shortly for a bit of fettling and tweaking, so that might be a good opportunity to meet up.

Hi Jake,

I live in Walsall which used to be in Staffordshire. I have a 29 year old BRA 289 with a 4 litre Rover V8. No doubt will bump in to you in the future.

Hello there everybody,

I met some of you earlier in the year at Gerry's barbeque & on the Sussex tour organised by Colin & Nicky Newbold.  Glad to be joining you guys.

I'm running a Magnum Mk1 Cobra. These were kits & full builds by Mike Broad in the Oxfordshire area in the 1990's. He is now retired & once the business was sold it shortly after went out of business.

I have had this car for twenty five years, not as 'authentic' as some of you guys cars but a great car. Cheng Lim at Thunder Road recently did some brake work on the car & he commented on how well it handled. Only around seventy cars were produced so quite rare.

Hope to see some of you at future events.

Best regards from     Roger Portman

Welcome Roger.

25 year’s is a long time and possibly the longest ownership amongst our members.

How many miles have you covered in that time?
